I offer individual therapy sessions at $150 for a 50-minute session. Additionally, I’ve partnered with Mentaya to offer a solution for clients who wish to utilize their out-of-network insurance benefits to save on therapy costs. Through this partnership, you may be eligible for reimbursement for out-of-network therapy sessions.
How does Mentaya work?
A: I’ve partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
Mentaya is perfect if you:
• Have out of network benefits
• Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
• Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
• Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
Here’s how it works:
1. Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.com/inviteclient/BJNRB9vlKpsX4XqsSBLf
2. My practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up. You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.
It’s risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
What can I expect during a 15-minute phone consultation?
A: During our initial phone consultation, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals for treatment, and any questions or concerns you may have. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.
Is healing really possible?
A: Yes, healing is possible. While the journey of healing is not always easy, it is entirely achievable with dedication, support, and the right therapeutic approach. Together, we’ll work to uncover and address the root causes of your challenges, fostering growth, resilience, and transformation.
What are your policies for cancellations and no-shows?
A: I understand that life can sometimes get in the way of scheduled appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for the session. In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, unless it’s an emergency, the full session fee will be charged.
What is a good faith estimate, and do you provide one?
A: A good faith estimate provides an approximation of the costs associated with your therapy sessions, including fees and potential insurance coverage. Upon request, I am happy to provide a good faith estimate to help you better understand the financial aspects of therapy and plan accordingly.
What can I expect from therapy sessions?
A: Therapy sessions are a collaborative process where we work together to explore your challenges, identify goals, and develop strategies for healing and growth. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and may involve discussing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, as well as learning and practicing new coping skills.
Is therapy confidential?
A: Yes, therapy is confidential. Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance to me, and I adhere to strict ethical guidelines and legal requirements to protect your personal information. Exceptions to confidentiality may include situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law.
Do I have to be queer to receive therapy from you?
A: No!
